"Deliverables": Reports, summaries, or written feedback provided in response to the purchased service.
"Working Days": Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
2. Nature of Service

Reviewing builder quotations
Reviewing design documents (for buildability and cost alignment)
Strategic project assessments
Pre-purchase insight based on survey reports, photos, and early concepts
Follow-up Zoom consultations (add-on)
We do not provide:
Site visits
Legally binding or statutory advice
Full architectural or engineering services
Planning submission services
Quantity surveying or valuations
Project management
Structural assessments or warranty advice
All advice is based solely on the documents and information you provide. No physical site inspections are undertaken.
3. Client Responsibilities
To enable effective delivery, you agree to:
Provide clear, complete, and relevant documents in a timely manner
Ensure all files are legible and accurate (photos, quotes, drawings, reports, etc.)
Submit all relevant material at the time of booking or shortly after
Inform us of any major changes to the project brief before the report is delivered
We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or missed issues resulting from incomplete, outdated, or unclear materials.
4. Delivery Timelines
Reports are generally delivered within 3–5 working days of receiving all required materials, unless otherwise stated. If there is a delay, we will notify you.
Add-on consultation calls (if purchased) must be booked within 14 days of the report being delivered.
5. Fees & Payments
All prices are stated clearly at the point of purchase and are payable upfront.
Prices may be subject to VAT where applicable.
Add-ons such as Zoom calls are optional and priced separately.
No service is delivered before payment is received in full.
6. Refunds & Cancellations
We aim to provide helpful and honest guidance in every report. However, due to the nature of our work, the following applies:
Full refunds are available only if the service has not yet started.
Partial refunds may be considered if work has started but not completed, minus a fair assessment of time spent.
No refunds are available once a report has been delivered.
Zoom calls missed without notice or cancellation within 12 hours may be forfeited without refund.
All refund requests must be made in writing to: hello@horizonproject.co.uk
7. Confidentiality
We treat all submitted information as confidential. We will not share, publish, or reuse your documents without your consent.
Likewise, reports we issue are for your personal use only. You may not publish, distribute, or resell them without written permission.
8. Intellectual Property
All templates, reports, visual materials, and advice remain the intellectual property of Horizon Project Lab. Purchasing a service grants you a single-use, non-transferable license to use the report for your project.
9. Limitations of Liability
We provide strategic insight, not guarantees. While we aim to flag risks and offer constructive advice, we are not liable for:
Decisions made based on third-party data (e.g. surveyor reports, builder quotes)
Cost overruns, delays, or disputes arising from your builder, designer, or supplier
Planning permission outcomes or legal disputes
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from our advice
Issues that could not have been reasonably identified without a site visit
Maximum liability is limited to the total fee paid for the relevant service.
10. Right to Refuse or Withdraw Services
We reserve the right to:
Decline any service that falls outside our scope or expertise
Withdraw service in cases of inappropriate, abusive, or dishonest behaviour
Refuse continued work if scope creep is identified without additional payment
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to deliver services due to events beyond our control, including illness, power outages, technical failures, or natural disasters.
12. Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, both parties agree to:
First attempt informal resolution via email
If unresolved, consider mediation before legal action
This helps maintain fairness and professionalism without immediate escalation.
13. Scope Clarification & Limitations
Before purchasing, please carefully review the description of the service, which outlines what is and isn’t included. Our consultancy is designed to provide high-level strategic input based on available documents. It is not a substitute for detailed technical reports, site inspections, or project management.
If a report does not mention an issue, this does not confirm the issue does not exist — it may be due to insufficient evidence or documentation. We are not liable for missed issues where relevant information was not provided.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled under UK jurisdiction.
